Lost Villages & Carron Company
The Lost Villages Hidden Heritage project took place in late 2019. It looked at the communities of workers who lived around the Carron ironworks, a topic proposed by one of the local residents who participated in the project. Facilitated by Larbert-based teacher Lorna Swinney, volunteers pored over primary sources in the archives such as the Carron Cupola, the company’s in-house magazine, and met with other locals to capture their memories.
